Search Is On For Missing Jurupa Valley Woman, 68

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Officials are looking for a 68-year-old Jurupa Valley woman who walked away from a nursing facility where she lives.

Indelisa Rojas was last seen around 11 p.m. Tuesday when she left the Mt. Rubidoux Nursing Center at 33rd Street and Apple Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were called to the location around 3 a.m., leading to a street-by-street search.

Authorities also employed a bloodhound hoping to pick up Rojas's trail.

The dog followed Rojas' scent to 34th Street and Valley Way, a quarter-mile away, where the trail abruptly stopped.

Rojas suffers from an undisclosed illness and requires daily medication. Sheriff's deputies express mounting concern for her health.

The missing woman is just under 5 feet tall and weighs about 86 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a green jacket, red shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Jurupa Valley station at (951) 955-2600.
