American Cancer Society Honors CBS2

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) —  CBS2 was honored Wednesday morning by the American Cancer Society.

The cancer-fighting organization lauded CBS during a kick off breakfast in Costa Mesa where organizers planned their annual "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" 5K Walk.

CBS2 Michele Gile accepted the "Caring Through Communication" award. Gile is this year's mistress of ceremonies.

CBS2 is also proud to be one of the corporate sponsors of this year's walk.

This year's walk takes place on October 6 in Costa Mesa.
