Major Water Main Break Causes Partial Street Collapse In Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A major water main break caused a partial street collapse in Simi Valley Tuesday night.

Water started bubbling out of the roadway around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Tierra Rejada and Madera roads.

Crews will likely have to excavate asphalt Wednesday in order to make repairs.

Westbound lanes of Tierra Rejada are shut down completely. Crews opened Madera Road after a partial closure.

The cause of the main break is unknown.
