Police Searching For 2 Masked Burlgars Who Fled Carl's Jr. With Cash

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — Temecula police are asking for the public's help in the search for two masked burglars who stole cash from a Carl's Jr. eatery Friday.

Officers arrived to the restaurant in the 44000 block of Bedford Court at approximately 5 a.m. after receiving reports of a burglary.

A truck driver who was making a delivery to the restaurant said he saw two subjects run out the back door of the business upon his arrival and called 911.

The subjects were wearing dark clothing, ski masks, and gloves, according to police.

Officers discovered the suspects entered the business from a broken window and began prying open cash registers, and placing the contents into garbage bags.

Investigators believe thy were alarmed by the delivery driver and fled the location on foot toward a nearby riverbed, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was in custody at press time.
