Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (August 9)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Temperatures continue to run below average and in fact while we came close to breaking a very long run of below 80 degree temps yesterday...we didn't. We only reached 79 yesterday. After a beautiful day today...our highs were once again in the 70s downtown.

Starting tomorrow the trough that has been parked along the west coast starts to lift and that will bring us a gradual warming trend. In fact by the weekend we should be into the 80s. The warming trend continues into the next week and it will peak at the end of the next work week...with temps into the high 80s downtown and high 90s inland.

Beaches - low 70s
Valleys - upper 80s
Mountains - upper 60s to low 70s
Deserts - mid 80s
