1 Detained After Allegedly Making Threats While Aboard Bus In WeHo

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday took one person into custody for allegedly making threats while aboard a bus in West Hollywood.

The bus was traveling on Santa Monica Boulevard near Fairfax Avenue when the driver pulled over after reporting an emergency and was subsequently evacuated.

Deputies responded to the scene and took one person into custody.

That individual had allegedly claimed he had an explosive device inside his backpack which the bomb squad was expected to examine.

Santa Monica Boulevard was shut down between Fairfax and Orange Grove avenues.
