The Taste of Brews is coming back to Lighthouse Park in Long Beach for its third annual summer festival showcasing beers from more than 50 local, regional and national craft breweries on Aug. 24 from noon to 4 p.m.
The Summer Festival Taste of Brews is a classy approach to beer tasting whether you are an expert beer sommelier or a novice beer enthusiast. This year’s annual Taste of Brews in Long Beach is honored to feature several popular craft beers such as Stone, Golden Road, Karl Strauss, Sam Adams and Firestone. Area breweries participating in this year’s festival include Rock Bottom, Beachwood, Belmont, El Segundo, San Pedro and Strand Brewing Co. The booming growth of craft beer in the Inland Empire has also enticed several breweries from the IE such as Hangar 24, Wiens, Inland Empire, Craft Brewing and Packinghouse.

All of the beer tasting fun will be amid the ambiance of live music from the highly acclaimed band “The Journey Experience,” a Journey tribute band, and the band “The Pac Men,” a 1980’s cover band on the Purple Revolver stage.
Everyone 21 years and older is welcome to attend the beer tasting event. Ticket prices start at $32.50 for the three-hour session (1 to 4 p.m.) and $42.50 for the four-hour session (noon to 4 p.m.). Admission includes beer tastings, drinking water, souvenir mug, live music and access to the gourmet food trucks. Parking is available for a fee at the Pike Parking Structure.
