Portions Of San Jacinto Mountains Closed In Mountain Fire To Reopen

IDYLLWILD (CBSLA.com) — Areas of the San Bernardino mountains closed due to the Mountain Fire will reopen Thursday.

The areas slated to reopen are in the National Forest north of the state park including Marion Mountain, Seven Pines and the Deer Springs trails, and Lake Fulmor. Marion Mountain, Dark Canyon, Boulder Basin and Black Mountain and Fern Basin campgrounds will also re-open, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

The Mountain Fire broke out on July 15 and scorched more than 27,500 articles and destroyed 23 structures.

At least three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
