TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A 63-year-old Temecula man is accused of fatally shooting his brother-in-law near the Pechanga Reservation, according to authorities.

Nelson Virgil Allen was arrested Saturday in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Donald Piper.

Sheriff's deputies said Piper was shot at least once in the 12000 block of Pechanga Road.

Officials said the two men were involved in a long-standing family dispute.

Deputies were dispatched at 11:02 am for a shots fired call, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Tyson Voss.
