Corona Man, 42, Killed In Fontana Workplace Accident

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — A man died of injuries he sustained while working with machinery at a Fontana business, medical examiners said Sunday.

The San Bernardino County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased as Hugo Alvarado, 42, of Corona.

Alvarado was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which was reported at 11 a.m. Friday at a business in the 9800 block of Cherry Avenue.

Details about the type of machinery and the name of the business were not disclosed because the official report has not been completed, the medical examiner's office said.

The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office, sheriff's department and Cal OSHA were investigating the fatal incident, according to coroner's officials.
