Powerball Climbs To Estimated $235M

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — No tickets matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball so the estimated jackpot for next Wednesday's draw is $235 million.

The winning numbers selected Saturday are 9, 23, 40, 53 and 58. The Powerball is 6.

One ticket in California matched four numbers and the Powerball and is worth $53,216.

Four tickets sold nationally matched 5/5 (no Powerball) and are worth $1 million each. Those tickets were sold in Kansas, North Carolina, New Jersey and South Carolina.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball starts at $40 million and climbs each time there is no winner. The record jackpot reached $590 million in May 2013.
