Deputies Say Man Hit By Shotgun Fire Is Uncooperative

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's deputies say that a man who was hit by shotgun fire has been uncooperative with their investigation.

Officials say that a motorist driving in Malibu was flagged down by a male pedestrian just before midnight on Friday in the 4400 block of Encinal Canyon.

The man told the motorist that he'd just been shot.

The driver summoned emergency personnel who determined the man had been shot with a shotgun.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Detectives said the man was uncooperative and the suspect, or suspects, remain at large.

Authorities want anyone with information about the incident to please contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Station at (818) 878-1808.
