ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Anaheim police Saturday were looking for witnesses as they continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding a death deemed “suspicious” on the 57 Freeway.

Shortly after midnight, police said they received several calls of a possible body on the northbound lanes of the freeway between Orangewood and Katella avenues.

“Some callers indicated the deceased person may have jumped or have been thrown from a moving vehicle on the freeway,” a statement issued by the Anaheim Police Department indicated.

Upon arriving on scene, officers located the body.

No additional information was provided.
