MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have arrested four people in connection with the cultivation of marijuana.
The arrests Friday were made after authorities executed a search warrant at the home in the 27300 block of Wildwood Street.
"Evidence of drug paraphernalia, marijuana cultivation and sales, weapons violation, conspiracy" was found during the search, according to a statement posted on the Riverside County Sheriff's Department website.
The statement said five young children and an elderly person were placed in protective custody.
The suspects -- identified as 22-year-old Biridiana Olmos; 26-year-old Giovanna Olmos; 24-year-old Leonard Olmos, and 27-year-old Jermaine Brand -- were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, marijuana cultivation for sales, child endangerment, and elder abuse.
The statement said Brand was also arrested on suspicion of committing a crime while out on bail.
The arrests followed an ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales and grand theft, authorities said.
