Police Pursuit Ends With Suspect's Truck Crashing Into Family Of 4's Vehicle
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A police pursuit in Santa Ana Wednesday night ended with the suspect's truck crashing into a vehicle with a family of four inside.
The incident, which was captured on security cameras, happened at the intersection of Brown and Garfield streets at 7:10 p.m.
Authorities said the suspect, along with his companion, was stopped six blocks away for a narcotics violation.
When officers asked the driver if he was on probation, he didn't answer and fled.
The chase came to a stop when the suspect's truck careened into a PT Cruiser that was filled with two young boys and their parents.
The family has moderate injuries and is expected to recover.
The suspect is in critical condition.
