Police: Woman, 87, Killed By Garbage Truck Near Lincoln Heights
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An elderly woman was killed after being hit by a garbage truck near downtown Los Angeles, police said Monday.
Police responded to a report around 11:30 a.m. that an woman of Asian descent, approximately 87 years of age, was struck at Broadway and Avenue 22 near the neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
An investigation was ongoing. No arrests had been made.
