Mending Kids International To Give 20 Kids Free Surgeries This Weekend

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Marchelle Sellers, Executive Director of Mending Kids International, visited the KCAL9 studios Friday to talk about MKI's Hometown Mission event.

The event will be held at Cedars Sinai this weekend where they will provide surgeries for 20 kids. Surgeons at Cedars are donating their time, money raised by MKI will pay for the balance of the costs.

For nearly 30 years, thousands of children have received free, corrective and transformational surgeries that have given them another chance at a longer, healthier life. MKI hosts different events throughout the year to raise money to pay for these surgeries.

Since 2006, Mending Kids has helped over 700 kids with life-changing and lifesaving surgeries.
