Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 19)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Temperatures will be cooling down as we make our way into the weekend.

This is for two reasons. First, the high pressure that kept inland areas warm is shrinking and second, we have a decent cloud shield that's going to move into the area from a cut-off low we have been watching move towards the Baja Peninsula.

This moisture that is rotating through this pressure center will give us a chance at a light shower on Saturday.

By Sunday there is more lift in the atmosphere and there is a chance for a thunderstorm.  The instability remains in place on Monday and even early Tuesday.

While temperatures will cool a little bit the increased humidity is still going to make it feel muggy so you want necessarily benefit from the cool down.

Basin -low to mid 80s

Beaches - mid 70s

Valleys - mid 90s

Mountains - low 80s

Deserts - over 100
