Police Seek Shooting Suspect In Oxnard

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot a man in Oxnard.

Oxnard police responded to a shooting call around 10:40 a.m. July 11 in the 1500 block of Crawford Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm.

He was transported a local hospital where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury.

Andres Rene Rodriguez, 29, was identified as the suspect during the investigation, police said.

Rodriguez had been released from prison under the Post Release Offender Program, which releases non-violent and non-serious offenders, in April 2013.

Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
