LAX Employer To Hold Invite-Only Job Fair To Fill 280 Spots

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles International Airport employer will hold an invite-only job fair to fill more than 280 food-service job openings, authorities said Wednesday.

Job seekers can submit applications through tomorrow to secure an interview at the fair, which will run July 20-27.

HMS Host, an LAX restaurant operator, will fill the positions, which include fast-food attendants, cashiers, baristas, bartenders and cooks.

"LAWA's First Source Hiring Program gives applicants an opportunity to step to the head of the line in consideration for these open airport positions," Joyce Sloss, director of the Business and Job Resources Center that manages the First Source Hiring Program, said in a statement.

Those interested in applying are asked to submit their applications no later than Thursday to both the airport's job site and HMS Host's site. Job listings can be viewed by location under "Careers" and then "U.S.  Hourly Positions".
