Public's Help Sought In Identifying Suspect Wanted In Nordstrom Robbery

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside police Thursday asked for public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with robbery at a department store last month.

A 911 caller reported a robbery in progress on the third floor of the Nordstrom store at Galleria at Tyler around 10 a.m. on June 28, according to the Riverside Police Department.

The suspect passed a note demanding money from the registers to an employee and claimed to have a gun, as well as armed accomplices, police said.

The employee cooperated, and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The store was subsequently placed on lockdown for several hours as officials investigated.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect was asked to contact Det. Jim Simons at (951)353-7138 or Det. Jim Brandt at (951)353-7137.
