Gym Junkies Flex To Win Titles Of Mr. And Ms. Muscle Beach At July 4th Contest

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Some people on Venice Beach spent the day looking at buff bodies.

Gym junkies and fitness buffs gathered at the Venice Beach Recreation Center to watch the Mr. and Ms. Muscle Beach bodybuilding contest.

A parade of contestants flexed and squeezed to win the judges' approval.

Categories include figure, bodybuilding, men's and women's physique.

Later, Beverly Jocher, Ms. Muscle Beach of 1952, was inducted into the Muscle Beach Venice Bodybuilding Hall of Fame.
