'Terminator 2' Actor Edward Furlong Sentenced For Assaulting Girlfriend

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — "Terminator 2" actor Edward Furlong was sentenced to five years of probation Monday for assaulting his girlfriend back in May.

Furlong was also ordered to attend 90 days of a drug treatment program and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling.

In addition, the 35-year-old actor was sentenced to 61 days in jail, but got credit for time served.

Furlong pleaded no contest to an amended felony charge of willful infliction of corporal injury on a cohabitant or spouse for dismissal of a number of other charges, according to prosecutors.

The actor violated a previous restraining order when he went to the victim's home May 21 and attacked her.

Also on Monday, the judge issued a protective order that, in part, prohibits Furlong from having contact with the victim for at least three months.
