Police Seek 2 Men Suspected Of Stealing Dogs, Assaulting Store Employee

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking the public's help in locating two men accused of punching a pet store employee and stealing two dogs Sunday.

Police said the men entered a Petco store in the 7200 block of Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood around 3:30p.m. and inquired about adopting a pet.

One of the suspects then reportedly removed two spotted Chihuahuas from their cages and attempted to leave the store with the animals. When confronted, one of the men allegedly punched an employee in the head before both suspects fled.

The first suspect is described as an African American male between 25 to 30-years-old, wearing a red shirt with black pants and white shoes. He is believed to be 5 feet, 9 inches tall and about 170 pounds.

The second suspect is said to be and African American male between the ages of 38 and 40, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and black shorts with white shoes.
