Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The hot weather is upon us, so hunker down for the next few days.

We have high pressure building in and centering over Southern California. The intense heat will really kick in on Saturday and Sunday.

There is also an excessive heat warning in effect for the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley from Saturday morning to Sunday night.

However, given the latest look at the forecast models, the advisories could be extended.

Highs inland will range between 101 to 107 degrees; the high desert could reach 112 degrees. It looks like there will be some relief for the 4th of July.
