Pechanga To Host 18th Annual Pow Wow This Weekend

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — One of the nation's largest Pow Wow's is heading to SoCal's backyard.

Pechanga Pow Wow Director Randy Pico stopped by the KCAL9 studios Wednesday to talk about this year's 18th annual Pechanga Pow Wow & Fireworks Spectacular.

The event will be at the Pechanga Resort and Casino from June 28th-30th.

It will open at 5 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is open to all ages and is free to the public.

The pow wow gathers Native American tribes from across North America for singing, dancing, and drumming. Spectators will be able to watch members of various tribes show their unique regalia and spirit and have an opportunity to join in on the dancing.

There will be more than 200 vendors with artisan crafts and specialty Native American foods such fry bread, buffalo burgers, Indian Tacos, and more.

Fireworks celebrations will commence after dusk on Saturday.
