Have you paid a visit to Oxnard, California recently? It’s a lovely city with a lot of great things to do and see. Plus, it’s located about an hour west of Los Angeles, so a visit to Oxnard can make for a great day trip or even a weekend get away. Simply take the 101 North and you are just a few short exits away from a fun day exploring a new town.
Oxnard is probably best known for its strawberries. As California’s largest strawberry producer, the city is the proud host of the annual California Strawberry Festival. Head up to Oxnard during the summer festival for so many great strawberry-themed foods, booths, crafts and music. Enjoy strawberry pizza, strawberry champagne, strawberry funnel cake and so much more.
Oxnard is also home to a strong culture and arts scene. There is beautiful performing arts theatre called the Oxnard Performing Arts and Convention Center. You can catch some great live dance, music and theatrical performances or even enjoy the 18th season of the New West Symphony, as they perform live there as well. Or you can get lost in the Carnegie Art Museum, the Chandler Vintage Museum of Transportation and Wildlife, or browse through Heritage Square, which is a fabulous collection of restored Victorian houses.
Of cousse, there is a stunning deepwater port with a lot of great ocean activities to enjoy as well, with great shops and a vibrant retail scene that you are sure to love shopping. And since you are just an hour from Los Angeles, you can easily enjoy the drive to Oxnard and come home in the same day.
Though, the best way to enjoy your drive to and from the city of Oxnard is to set out in your 2013 SL65 Roadster from Mercedes-Benz of Encino. You’ll enjoy a fabulously luxurious ride in pure elegance and comfort as you head to a fun day of exploring a different city, a new beach or some new museums. Plus, you’ll enjoy the drive back just as much, since you get to make it in your Mercedes-Benz.
