Chris Brown Charged With Criminal Hit-And-Run
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles City Attorney Tuesday charged Chris Brown with misdemeanor hit-and run.
The 24-year-old singer was also charged with driving without a valid license in connection with a minor accident near Toluca Lake on May 21.
Brown, who was driving a Range Rover, is accused of rear-ending a Mercedes, refusing to give the other driver his license, and providing her with fake insurance information before leaving the scene.
The singer took to Twitter to respond:
Brown was scheduled to be arraigned on July 15 in a Van Nuys court.
He could face six months in jail for each offense.
It was unclear if this case would violate Brown's probation stemming from a domestic abuse conviction involving a 2009 incident with ex-girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna.
