Safe Stolen From Cypress Restaurant In Commercial Burglary

CYPRESS (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday were investigating a restaurant burglary in which two suspects stole a safe containing approximately $2,000 in cash.

The crime occurred around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Dalton's Restaurant, 9575 Valley View Street, in Cypress, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, the discovered the front glass door had been shattered and a safe had been stolen.

"A witness to the crime described the suspects as two male black adults approximately twenty to twenty-five years old.  Both suspects were seen wearing all black clothing including 'Hoodie' type sweatshirts," Sgt. Dean Pinvidic said in a statement.

The suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on Valley View in an older model brown Honda Civic hatchback with an unknown license plate number.
