Infant Hospitalized After Near-Drowning In Reseda

RESEDA (CBSLA.com) — A San Fernando Valley infant was hospitalized Tuesday after a reported near-drowning in Reseda.

The baby - whose exact age was not released - was rescued from a pool by an off-duty police officer in the 7000 block of Penfield Avenue shortly after 10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities were transporting the child via air ambulance to an nearby hospital. The child was listed in serious condition.

No other information was immediately available.
