Impress Your Guests With Creative Summer Cocktails by SVEDKA

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Raise your class to something different this summer with creative cocktails from SVEDKA.

Aaron Chase, the SVEDKA Vodka Cocktail Expert, visited the KCAL9 studios Tuesday to show off some creative cocktails perfect for a summer party.

Simple secrets to start with for effortless entertaining:

• Freeze your glasses before your guests arrive so they are nice and cool when sitting outside in the sun.

• Set up your bar with multiple bottles, shakers, strainers, different garnishes, themed napkins and straws.

• Serve your cocktails in unexpected containers, such as mason jars, vintage teacups, or hollowed- out coconuts.

• Most importantly, make it fun by creating signature cocktails recipes and adding menus

Mint Orange Cream Pop

Mint Orange Cream Pop
1 oz Svedka Orange Cream Pop Vodka
.5 oz Fresh squeezed Lemon
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Small pinch of Mint
Shake & Strain up or on the rocks

Slider Mary

Slider Mary
1 oz Svedka Vodka (using the Stars & Stripes bottle)
3 oz Pacifico Mexican lager
2.5 oz Lefty O'Douls Bloody Mary Mix
1 Dash Tapatio, Colula or Valentina Hot Sauce
Build and roll 2X. Serve in Collins Glass
Garnish with a mini burger, Lime Wedges, Celery, Cucumber Spear or pickled vegetables.

Spicy Strawberry Colada

1.5 oz Svedka Strawberry Colada Vodka Jalapeño infused
.5 oz Fresh squeezed Lime
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Shake & Strain up or on the rocks

Preparation suggestion:
• 24 hours prior to the party, cut 3-4 jalapeños (depending on size) into spears and put into a container with 1 liter Vodka to soak.
• After a couple of hours (or longer), taste to check the spice level.
• If it is too spicy, strain out solids and cut with plain Vodka. If it is not spicy enough, add one more jalapeño and leave to macerate for another hour or so.
• Once you're happy with the taste, strain out solids and pour product into a punch bowl.
• Your standard spice level should be pretty hot to taste on its own in order to show up in the cocktail against the fruit and sugars.
