5 Hurt In Crash On 110 Freeway In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — At least five people were injured after a two vehicles overturned in a crash on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway in the South Los Angeles area.

The crash was reported around 10:45 a.m. near the Manchester Avenue exit of the 110 Freeway, according to fire officials.

A Sig alert was issued and all lanes were blocked for about 30 minutes.

"One of the vehicles, sadly, had two people trapped in it that had to be extricated using the jaws of life," Katherine Main of the L.A. City Fire Department told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO.

Two patients in serious condition and three in fair condition were transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
