Man Stabbed During Brawl Over Woman At UC Irvine

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for a 22-year-old man accused of stabbing a college student at a party on the campus of UC Irvine early Friday morning.

University spokeswoman Cathy Lawhon said two men apparently got into a fight over a woman around 1:45 a.m.

Partygoers saw the suspect, who is not affiliated with the college, stab the victim in the chest, said Lawhon.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The unnamed assailant, who lives in South Pasadena, fled the area and was believed to be driving another person's silver Audi with the California license plate number 7AUA604.

The suspect was described as Asian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, with tattoos on both arms.

Anyone with information about the crime was asked to contact UC Irvine police.
