Removal Of 200-Pound Pink Bulldog Statue From WeHo Art Display Under Investigation

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is investigating the recent removal of a 200-pound pink bulldog statue from a public art installation in West Hollywood.

The sculpture, entitled "Cloned Bulldog With Water Bottle", is one of six pieces erected in the city as part of its Art on the Outside program.

According to a statement from city officials, the statue was last seen June 9 on Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Olive Drive.

Artist William Sweetlove is offering a reward for its return.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information regarding the removed sculpture contact the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station at (310) 855-8850.
