Small Helicopter Crashes In Griffith Park

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A helicopter went down in the Griffith Park area, officials said Thursday.

The small private helicopter went down at 2800 East Observatory Road around 2:17 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Four people were aboard the helicopter, including one park ranger requiring medical attention who was expected to be transported, according to Scott. The three other passengers suffered minor injuries.

Some fuel was seen leaking from the aircraft following the crash.

The chopper was seen on its side in the area just above the Roosevelt Golf Course.
