Paul Newman's Painted Turtle Camp Canceled Over Powerhouse Fire

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – Summer camp at Paul Newman's The Painted Turtle has been canceled due to damage sustained by the Powerhouse Fire.

Newman founded the camp to give chronically ill children a fun and safe place to go.

Damage to vegetation and several buildings prevented summer sessions scheduled to begin June 14 from getting underway.

Crews will spend three months repairing and rebuilding the property.
