Family Dispute Ends With 1 Dead, 2 Wounded In Simi Valley

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police Tuesday were investigating a domestic dispute and shooting that left one person dead and two others injured.

Simi Valley police received a call just after 7 a.m. reporting that shots had been fired at a home in the 2700 block of Machado Street, Sgt. Craig Dungan said.

Details surrounding the shooting were not released, however, authorities said two victims were transported to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.

"The suspect is deceased most probably by a self-inflicted gunshot wound," Dungan said.

The shooting was under investigation and additional details were expected to be released later Tuesday.

It was unclear how the three victims were related.
