Bear Subdued After Sighting On Granada Hills Golf Course
GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday subdued a bear that was spotted roaming the golf course at Knollwood Country Club.
Police received a call about the bear, which was seen running on the fairway, at 1 p.m., according to the LAPD's Devonshire Division.
Officers formed a perimeter along the golf course near McLennan Avenue while they waited for officials with the Department of Fish and Wildlife to arrive.
Shortly after 2 p.m., authorities shot the animal with a tranquilizer gun, according to SKY9's Derek Bell.
There were an unspecified number of golfers on the course at the time of the sighting.
