Police: Armed Suspects Pose As Gas Company Workers In Fontana Home Invasion

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday said two men were arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in Fontana.

It happened in the 16800 block of Barbee Avenue on Friday morning.

Fontana police said two armed suspects posing as gas company workers gained entry into a home, tied up two residents, and demanded cash.

The men then allegedly took an undisclosed amount of property from the home before fleeing in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, police said.

Police said the suspect vehicle was subsequently located and the men were detained.

The two residents, described as a 21-year-old woman and 23-year-old man, were unharmed.

All of the property allegedly taken from the home was recovered.
