Man, 36, Fatally Shot In Jefferson Park Area
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in the Jefferson Park area.
The victim, identified as a 36-year-old man, was shot in the 3900 block of West 27th Street about 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles Sgt. Robin Brown said.
"A witness claimed she heard five shots and found a man in the street shot multiple times," the sergeant said.
Brown said man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities do not believe the incident to be gang-related.
