Man Killed, Another Wounded In Shooting At East LA Gathering

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday said one man has died and a second was wounded after a shooting in East Los Angeles.

Shots were fired outside a home in the 600 block of S. Mc Donnell Avenue and 6th Street just after 3 a.m.

The deadly shooting happened during a family gathering at the home. The surviving victim's injuries were said to be non-life threatening.

Video taken from the scene showed grieving family members. The identity of the victims was not released.

No arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.

The suspected shooter is believed to be a Hispanic male.

Authorities say they are searching the immediate area for a 5-foot, 7-inch tall man who weighs about 150 pounds with long black hair.
