Burglars Break Into Nearly 20 Units At San Dimas Storage Facility

SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — Burglars broke into nearly 20 units at a San Dimas storage facility Sunday night.

The incident happened at Extra Space Storage on 919 W. Gladstone Street.

The Brown family, who has been storing things at the facility for about five years, said they felt violated even though they didn't lose anything.

"There were some things shoved around, but we didn't lose anything that we can tell," said Raine Brown. "It's a terrible feeling."

Kathy Heffernan, who has been a customer for about a month, said police didn't inform her about the number of break-ins.

"I'm uncomfortable with that because when I came in they told me they only had one break-in and they've been here for quite a while," she said.

Customers told CBS2's Greg Mills that officials at Extra Space Storage have security video of the break-ins.

Mills, however, said authorities haven't been given the footage.

The investigation is ongoing.
