Man, 90, Receives 3rd Master's Degree From Cal State San Marcos

SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) — A San Diego man believes there's always room to learn and he's living proof.

Wally Taibleson Friday received his Master of Arts in Education from Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM) at the age of 90.

The degree marked his fourth.

Taibleson already has two master's degrees from the college.

He has also earned a bachelor's in history, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

"Any time that you can devote to improving your mind and increasing your learning is valuable for you as well as those you associate with," Taibleson said.

Taibleson is the oldest student in the California State University system and the oldest graduate of CSUSM, according to the school's website.
