Woman Killed, Man Wounded By Suspected Self-Inflicted Gunshot
TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A woman was murdered and her suspected killer wounded by what authorities say appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot at a Temecula home on Friday.
Dana Houston, 51, was killed shortly before 6a.m. after being shot multiple times in an assault that is being described as "domestic in nature" by authorities with the Riverside Sheriff's Department.
Authorities found the victim's body inside a home in the 30000 block of Del Rey Rd. after responding to reports of an assault.
A man was also found on the scene and was lying wounded from what authorities suspect was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect was taken to a hospital where his condition is listed as critical but stable.
His identity has not yet been released.
