Cheap In LA: California Science Center
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Wide-eyed and amazed visitors of the California Science Center come from all over to get an up-close and personal look at one of man's engineering marvels: the Endeavour.
"The Endeavour ties into the explorer in all of us. People come here and they have tears in their eyes," said Diane Perlov, Ph.D., Deputy Director for Exhibits.
The space shuttle, though, is not the only exhibit at the center which is located at 700 Exposition Park Drive.
It's just the beginning.
There are several others, including the Ecosystem, which features a walk-through aquarium.
"It's a place to be immersed in science to be able to have fun with these hands-on exhibits with your family and friends," Perlov said.
The California Science Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is free. (323) SCIENCE.
