Clean Out Your Closet And Make A Profit

BRENTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A local company is helping Angelinos make money off the clothing and accessories that they no longer wear.

The website Tradesy.com, based in Santa Monica, takes care of the details as the seller comes up with a price for an item they wish to sell. The site also helps by coming up with prices for items the seller does not know the value of.

"More than half of the items on Tradesy are either new or like-new, meaning that they've never been worn," said.

The company was started by Tracy DeNunzio in November of last year, and in just over six months, over a quarter of a million women have started using the site.

Tradesy allows sellers to post an item, and provides the seller with shipping materials at no cost.

The company takes a nine percent commission on all of the items that are sold over the site, and the seller takes the other 91%.

In addition, if the buyer does not like the product, they can return it to the company, and the seller keeps the cash.
