Ramos, 36,  is a criminal justice major and a former veteran. She served two tours of duty in Iraq and spent a year in Korea.

The Orange Police Department calls her disappearance “suspicious.”

Friends and family say during her disappearance she has missed many professional and personal commitments and that is not in character. They also say she would never have left without her car or dog.

Friends also said she missed playing in  a Friday night softball game — something she hadn’t missed in six years.

The woman’s roommate, K.C. Joy, has reportedly been questioned as well as a man she recently began dating.

Joy told CBS2’s Michele Gile on Thursday that he and Ramos had words with each other — she asked him to move out. He added the argument was not a big deal.

Ramos is described as a Latina, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown shoulder length hair.

She had a tattoo of a star on her left shoulder and an Aztec tribal symbol on her lower back.

Police said no signs of foul play were found inside the woman’s home.

A Facebook page, “Find Maribel Ramos,” has been set up by family and friends.

Gile reports that friends and family have organized an “Awareness Walk” for Saturday, May 11 at 2 p.m. (meeting in front of Ramos’ apartment, the 1800 block of E. Rose Ave.) There is also a “Find Maribel Candlelight Rally” scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 7:30 in front of the Calvary Church (1010 N. Tustin Ave.) Friends and family plan to hand out t-shirts and flyers at both events.
