Man Wanted For Kidnapping, Rape Of Altadena Girl

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday asked for the public's help to identify a man suspected in the kidnapping and rape of a San Gabriel Valley girl.

The attack happened on Feb. 27 when the girl was walking home from school near the 2500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue in Altadena, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

According to detectives, the suspect came up behind the victim, grabbed her, and forced her into an older, black four-door Mercedes that was parked behind a business.

The man was described as a Hispanic man in his 40s, with black hair, brown eyes and a medium build.

Anyone with information about the assault was asked to call the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau at (877)710-5273.
