Man Killed Outside Liquor Store After Shots Fired From Car

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man was killed outside a liquor store in South Los Angeles Tuesday by gunshots fired from a car, police said.

The shooting occurred at 12:30p.m. in the 5300 block of Van Ness Avenue.

The victim, described as in his 20s, exchanged words with the suspect but it is not known what was said.

Police said shots were fired from the car, which reportedly had two people inside.

According to police, the victim ran about one block before collapsing in a driveway. He was declared dead at the hospital.

The name of the victim was not immediately available.
