Sailboat Headed To Southern California From Hawaii Reported Missing

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — The Coast Guard is asking California boaters to keep a watchful eye out for a missing sailboat.

The 44-foot "Siesta" was headed to Long Beach or San Pedro from Hawaii, according to officials.

The boat has missed scheduled radio contacts.

The vessel -- described as white and blue -- is captained by a man named Curtis Collins.

Anyone who spots the boat, or makes radio contact, is asked to notify Coast Guard Sector Honolulu at (808) 535-3230.
